Today's laughs

Alex: "I WANT diarrhea right now."
(in response to me explaining we needed to curtail his candy intake because he is currently suffering from a bout of diarrhea)"

Zach: "Mom, were you born in like 2000?"
Me: "I was born in 1976."
Zach: "You've got to be kidding me...that was like in the olden days...back in the 1900's."
(I didn't think my kids would think I was born in the "olden days" until I was at least 40!)

To Zach's credit, when I got home from Omaha, he had left a note on my pillow that read, "Mommy I mis you to. Love, Zach your bud". That made my heart melt!

Growing up...

How do my kids get so big so fast? Today my girls were "playing" make-up and the boys were playing ball. And Emma's starting to get around (or at least have interest in things out of her reach...) Where does the time go?

How does your garden grow???

I love our little garden...and "these are a few of my favorite things":
my rosemary (I love adding it to bread, dips, sauces, etc...plus it doesn't die easily!), my bougenvilla (I LOVE those blossoms!), and I'm trying out some mixed baby greens this year...I'm getting hungry for salad!

Omaha Cousins!!!

Noall and I now both have sisters living in Omaha with their families. My kids have 11 cousins total and 5 of them (most of the younger ones their ages) are there. So when Malissa called up to see if I would be interested in coming out and helping get everything set up, I was on board!!! I took Alex and Emma with me and spent almost a week there...moving stuff in, hanging out, seeing old friends, etc. It was great! And Zach and Camilla would like to say THANK YOU to Uncle Mark for the candy since they had to stay at home! Alex took the picture of Emma and me at the park...isn't it sweet how babies look at their mommas?

"Baa, Baa Black Sheep"

I LOVE how Alex sings all nursery rhymes, but especially this one. Today, however, it required performances by both Camilla and Zach to coax him into singing. Thus we have three renditions of "Baa, Baa Black Sheep".
