A trip down memory lane...

I'm sure that few people will take the time to watch these, but the kids love them and Zach said we just "had to post them"! My sister-in-law is about to have her second baby and her two little ones will be close together like Zach and Camilla...so we've been taking a trip down memory lane to remember what it was like to have them so close when they were really little.
Unfortunately we don't have much from when they were babies (a combination of moving around several times, not having a digital camera to create video clips, and them keeping me so busy). But, these are some fun clips from when they were a little older...it's been a fun, crazy time (as I'm sure some of you can relate...did anyone else have baby #2 by their 2nd wedding anniversary?)!
From these clips you may think that our children undergo rigorous musical training, but such is not the case (surprising!)...they are just so funny when they sing, we can't help but video them! Also, some of these were taken when Zach was potty training (which explains why he usually has on little beside his underwear...that he can't stop touching). OK...I think those are all my apologies! ENJOY!

Breakfast...

Our kids are considered deprived by many because I rarely buy cold cereal...and then it's usually Cheerios (for toddlers at church...), so, this year for Easter we decided to buy them each their own box of cereal that they usually only get at Grandma and Grandpa's houses. They couldn't believe it!!!! It's should be no surprise that Camilla's cereal is pink!

Easter Morning

Easter morning was especially fun at our house because the kids didn't even realize they were getting Easter baskets until that morning (I guess I never mentioned it...)! They were so surprised and so excited!!!

Alex's Potty Adventures

Alex decided that he was going to start using the toilet...without making me aware of it. Once he started wiping his bottom himself, I realized it was probably a serious undertaking of his. I am honestly not ready to potty-train him, so I've just been watching his interest level to see if it's worth the time and effort right now...I'll keep you posted!

In & Out Burger

Camilla took advantage of the library's new program to read books in exchange for free In & Out hamburgers. She read enough (well...Mommy read to her) to feed the whole family!!! Everyone took turns thanking her for dinner...she was so excited (as was everyone else!!). She's quite the sweetheart!

Pre-baby Projects

Lately I've realized that I only have a few months to get ready for the baby and get some projects done. One of those "projects" is practicing some basic sewing skills. The last couple of weeks have been spent making receiving blankets, burp cloths, hemming fabric for tablecloths, sewing hooded towels, etc. It's been really fun! I've declared March to be "sewing month"...I just have a couple of projects left. Camilla is modeling a couple of recent projects (hooded towel and apron).

Desert camping

Wow...what an experience!!! Since Zach had a four day weekend for Presidents Day weekend, and our romantic Valentines Day plans feel through, and weve always wanted to see Joshua Tree National Park, we decided to head over there on a whim. The only problem with that plan being that we didnt really plan! We had no idea how windy springtime is in the desert (everyone else there seemed to know since they were in RVs and NOT tents) , we didnt realize how cold it gets at night and were somehow short a sleeping bag...sleeping difficulties were exacerbated by the fact that Alex was scared of sleeping in a sleeping bag, Camilla insisted on sleeping with her pregnant mother in the mummy bag and Zach didnt want to sleep by himself! I was wind burnt on my face and my hands had only partial motion for days...due primarily to the fact that I was out in the dark and cold attempting to cook dinner over the fire while Noall attempted to keep the kids warm in the tent. In the morning, the kids ate breakfast in the car while the scene of Mom trying to cook a hot meal for the family over the fire repeated itself. We had a lot of fun during the day hiking around the oark and checking out the cactus gardens, etc...but we were ready to go home and sleep in our own beds that night!

Ultrasound

Yes, this is rather belated, but for all of you wondering what the baby looks like, here you go!!! I'm officially 25 weeks and feeling great! The baby is moving all over doing some sort of acrobatics...the other kids seemed to kick and hit me more. This one just flips and turns and twirls and rolls all over! We're enjoying every minute of the adventure...especially since this is my first pregnancy where we're not planning a move, packing our house, and/or moving across the country. It's made the whole experience so wonderful since I can just focus on our family and our upcoming arrival right now and not worry about new jobs, new houses, etc.
