Zach wanted to hike to some ocean caves with a bunch of boys from his class - he was lucky enough that all his close buddies were able to come! He was so excited! We had a pirate-themed adventure and ended the afternoon eating a "treasure chest" cake. On his actual birthday, all he wanted breakfast in bed (he decided on crepes, bacon and scrambled eggs).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMMA!!!
What a doll! We just love this little girl! She kept her bow in for a couple of pictures before she ripped it off! She LOVED licking the spatula from her birthday cake! She got the hang of opening up presents pretty quickly with a little instruction from her older siblings! More than anything else, though, she wanted to eat her strawberry cake and cried and cried during her birthday song because she couldn't have it yet!!!

THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL (finally...)!!!
We've been counting down for months, and it's FINALLY here!!! The last day of school! Hooray!!! We started off the day with some french toast w/bananas and whipped cream. Emma wouldn't stop eating long enough to take a picture (I do think her smile is a pretty good indicator of how much she enjoyed it). :)
Camilla had a sweet little graduation ceremony in her kindergarten class (not sure why some of the pictures and video turned out so bad). Don't feel bad if you can't undestand the words to the song...they're singing in Spanish! :)
Zach got to dance around and play w/his buddies for his party until the bell rang. They both had great teachers and learned so much this year - they are going to miss their friends this summer, but we're all excited about having some LAZY mornings (school starts at 7:45) and visit family!!!
Afterward, we headed to the beach with some of our good friends - it was a perfect day to just hang out! Emma was especially fond of eating the sand (no surprise there since she's fond of eating EVERYTHING!!!).

Banana-fest
Does anyone else's kids love bananas as much as mine? In one afternoon, each of my kids ate one or two (Zach and Camilla are both helping to feed the babies), plus my friend's kids ate some as well! I think they went through two bunches in under 15 min!

Alex...aka Alejandro
He's our fun little guy. Every morning during breakfast he tells me, "My arms are getting big and my legs are getting big. And I'm getting strong and I'm almost 4 and I'll get a lot of presents for my birthday." All of that is said without taking a breath (and his birthday isn't until November, but the countdown began after Christmas last year)! I LOVE that he calls a doorbell a "ringy-ding-dong" and gets SOOO excited when he can ring it! And all types of pasta he calls, "racaroni". It's so fun to have a 3 year old around the house - he keeps us smiling! In the video clip he's practicing his part for Primary on Sunday, it's quite a mouthful (and, yes, I had to bribe him with a chocolate shake to get him to stand still long enough to practice it).
He's also a great model to pose for me w/one of our old yucky pots. I came home the other day and one of my friends had bought me a brand new set of bright red ones (yes, it matches my KitchenAid). I guess she knew I would never do it myself!!!

Legomania
Zach got a couple sets of Legos and K'nex for Christmas that required quite a bit of assembly. Every time he and Noall sat down to work on them, they would spend a couple of hours putting them together. Then a few weeks later they would pull them out again try and figure out where they had left off, what pieces had fallen off (or been broken off) since they last worked on it, and then start all over again! But last weekend was a different story! They put together his K'nex car (Zach finally had the motivation to do most of it himself) and finished his T-REX!!! Now that it's assembled and it took 6 months to complete, what do you do with it??? Not sure why the movie is sideways...oh, well! Zach was too distracted to show off his creations himself, so Alex and Camilla too care of it!
