Since I have a couple of artists on my hands, I've decided to attempt to teach them and their friends some informal art classes after school a couple times a month. Yesterday was the first. They were pretty excited about their attempts at tesselations! Alex and his little buddy took a break from the action and went to play! We have a cute little farm and market about 5 minutes away from our house that we love to go visit. They have tractors the kids like to play on...and, honestly, I love just watching things grow and eating them straight off the farm. As you can imagine, this time of year they have a pumpkin patch.. So on Saturday, after we finished up some chores, we headed over for some fun! The kids took turns setting up various photo shoots. Emma was hungry and couldn't be convinced that the pumpkin wouldn't taste good (she even tried the stem).
If I had known how much joy she would bring into our lives, I probably would have named this little girl Emma Joy (it's really Emma Noelle...but I guess Noelle (Christmas) means joy anyways, so it's pretty close, right?).
Anyways, the last few weeks I have had the worst allergies I've ever had. I'm trying to figure out what will work for me to keep them under control, but in the mean time, I'm tired, my head hurts (because I'm tired), I'm congested 24/7, sneezing, runny nose, etc...and generally irritable. Anyways, I'm usually a morning person, so it's discouraging to wake up that way every morning! This morning was no different...after Noall and the older kids left for work/school, I sat down to check my emails and feel sorry for myself (just a little bit). I heard something going on in the kitchen, so I headed over there. This is what I found! Don't you love the strategically placed shampoo bottle???
I get such a kick out of her - what a great way to start my day!!!

Emma gets so hyper before bed...it's pretty funny! She's either upside down, bent in half, backwards, or giggling up a storm! Here she is w/all her antics!!!
My sister just sent me this picture...it is totally random since Emma is almost 16 months old. She's getting so big now, and this picture just took me back! Rachel helped take my kids swimming that afternoon at Noall's hotel pool and that night my water broke! We're so glad she came to join us - such a fun addition to our family!
Due to camera complications, I have NO catching up to do yet! I am ALMOST done w/the dresser - so that's good news! Here's some pics of Alex w/his preschool buddies (a friend took these at her house).
